Thank-you for visiting our farmer style site. You should find it very basic and simple, because that is the way we are. If there is somethng you cannot find or there is something you need, feel free to contact one of us and we will assure that it gets to our attention. SUBARU sani2c has out grown us in many respects and we are determined to keep it undercontrol. So for the 7th edition in 2011 enjoy the ride as we pull in the reins in an attempt to control the bolting event!

CHANGES FOR 2011
The 2010 event prompted us to make many changes. The most significant being:
  1. New date
  2. Reduction in the number of competitors to 650 teams.


New Dates
After years of deliberation regarding the rain, heat, mud, silage cutting, ryegrass planting, cane haulage, frost, snow, cold, dust, year end, the mud, the pretty season, Mamba’s, joBerg2c etc etc. the  final factor that prompted us to change the dates was the Dusi Canoe Marathon. Historically the Dusi was held in January but has now been moved to the week before the traditionally sani2c time. After close consultation with Mountain biking SA we were able to secure dates in May. Traditionally this is a drier and cooler time of the year for us here in Southern KZN so should be better suited to mountain biking. The Subaru sani2c Adventure will be held on the 18th to 20th May 2011 and the SUBARU sani2c Race from the 19th to 21st May 2011.

Reduction in field size
Due to various pressures for entries and from communities wanting to be involved we softly allowed the numbers of competitors to creep up over the years. The 2010 events saw over 1500 competitors in each event. Although the route seemed to cope with the numbers there were simply just too many people in the race villages. For 2011 we will be hard and reduce the numbers to a manageable 650 teams per event. Unfortunately, this may mean that some competitors from the 2010 event may be unable to secure an entry.

ENTRY PROCEDURE
• Entries for both the Adventure and Race open to all 2010 competitors on 2nd August 2010.
• Entries will open to the waiting list on 16th August should the 650 team limit have not been filled by 2010 competitors.
• Entries open to the general public on 30 August should the 650 team limit have not been filled by the above.
• Full payment of R 7960.00 must be made upon receipt of entry from the race office.
• Once payment is received and confirmed by the race office your entry is secured.

Saburu sani2c Massages
Those of you who would like to pamper youself after a long day in the saddle of a tough stage (especially day 2!) of Subaru sani2c 2011 can  pre-book to secure a massage. Bookings can be made at the race villages on the day but availablility of massage sessions cannot be guaranteed. Click here for more information on how to pre-book. Bookings open on the 1st September 2010 and close on the 16th May 2011.
  
SUBARU sani2c NON-STOP
After stealing nonstops dates for joBerg2c we have been unable to secure a suitable date for nonstop 2010. Due to this we have decided to cancel nonstop for 2010. We apologize for this but things just did not fit in for 2010.

18-20
May 2011		 The SUBARU sani2c Adventure is for the less competitive riders, the ones who are looking for a more relaxing ride, although racing each other still continues! The Adventure and Race follow the exact same route.
19-21
May 2011		 The SUBARU sani2c Race starts the day after the Adventure. This is for the more competitive riders. It is in this event where you find the professionals and all the big names of MTBing.
