I thought today would be all downhill to the sea but unfortunately it was not, there were a few climbs which proved to be a sting in the tail! All in all the race was an amazing experience and as an Austrian I can see there is a big mountain biking culture in South Africa. Compliments to the organisers, especially Farmer Glen, for a superb event. Personally for me I would like a longer race as I feel my legs are starting to come around now as I am used to the longer races like the Tour de France and Giro de Talia. This is the perfect reason for me to do the Joberg2c next year and I am looking forward to it. This was my fourth mountain bike event ever and it was good opportunity to suss out the situation, but next year I am going to come back to race! A big thank you to the organisers for the invitation to the event and Chris and I had an amzing experience and will defnitely be back in the future.
